East lahave, ns wedding photography

Hannah and Kai got married in a quiet, private ceremony at a family property in East LaHave. It was a gorgeous October afternoon with the leafs all changing to their autumn colours. Hannah's mom, Kim, owns the gorgeous riverfront property that is both rustic and cozy, which, paired with the gorgeous florals from Meguma Meadows, created a beautiful nature filled fall venue. Hannah wore a gorgeous green dress with pink accents that tied the natural palette all together. I absolutely loved the non-traditional route that they took to make their day their own. Kim had a beautiful sunflower patch that created a great backdrop for the family photos. The true star of the show that morning would have to be their 18 year old, pom, Stella. She may be blind and death, but she was an absolute sweetheart and I'm so glad I was able to meet her. Right before the ceremony, I brought Kai down to the dock across the street for some photos of him before bringing Hannah down for the first look. You could feel the excitement, and the nerves. I love first looks because they are a great way to ground yourself before the ceremony, and gives you a private moment with your partner.

Kai's grandfather, Joe, served as the best man, while Hannah's sister, Olivia, was the Maid of Honour. Surrounded by their close family, the two tied the knot basked in the warm, fall sun. It was a short, but emotional ceremony with everyone shedding a tear. The reception was a both relaxing and peaceful. Hannah's mom made some really delicious pulled pork sandwiches, paired with charcuterie boards and apple-carrot slaw. The dinner was topped off with a very delicious chocolate strawberry cake. While they reserved the ceremony to their immediate family, the reception was full of childhood friends, school friends and extended family. It was a full house of laughter, and excitement for the newly-weds.

Hannah and Kai, congratulations. I hope you both spend a lifetime of happiness and laughter together. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your special day.
